This was the first piece I ever made using a 2 Litre Coke Bottle
It makes a very effective vase . I made the neck a little too small and I
stupidly put unthorned roses in it. Once, never again . Thorns are not allowed near paper mache vases.
This was created around a large Yoghurt Pot
I wanted a round vase so it took a lot of paper mache to convert the original shape
Its quite basic ,you could have a lot of fun sticking textures on. ,you could even drill into it when its dry and add spikes for that sea urchin look
I found in a skip a treasure, a china bowl. It was a lovely shape internally ,its only fault a chip in the rim. I had an idea to use it as a former .
I built a bowl inside it using paper mache as my medium. First thoroughly coating the inside with Vaseline .
As I built my ring of trees they literally grew out of the paper mache , I left spaces where the gaps in the trees would finally be .I loved doing it .
The result was spectacular. I made two of them . I sold one , I intend to take this idea further.
